: Rukia Kuchiki continues to protect Yuuichi, the soul of a boy trapped in a parakeet. Ichigo’s friend Yasutora "Chad" Sado arrives and, despite being unable to see or hear the Hollow, uses his immense strength to punch the air based on Rukia's directions, successfully landing hits on the invisible Shrieker.

: Upon his defeat, the Gates of Hell appear to claim Shrieker. Because his crimes were committed as a human rather than just as a Hollow, the Soul Reaper's Zanpakutō can only cleanse the sins of his spirit world existence, leaving his mortal sins to be judged by Hell.
