Battles are played out via a card system. You build a deck of "prayers" and "curses" to fight off demons, spirits, and rival sorcerers.

As a powerful witch, you will recruit "chorts" (lesser demons). You must assign them to cause mischief in neighboring villages, or else they will torment Vasilisa herself.

Vasilisa tries to reject her fate to marry her beloved. When he dies under mysterious circumstances, she embraces the dark arts and seeks the mythical "Black Book"—an artifact said to grant any wish if all seven seals are broken.
