The school, Las Cumbres, is an impregnable fortress located on a cliff surrounded by dense, eerie woods. It is run with brutal, often abusive discipline to reform students who have been abandoned by society. Their search reveals an ancient secret society, La Logia del Nido del Cuervo (The Raven’s Nest Lodge), which continues to commit crimes in the forest.
Amaia, Manuel, Paul, and Adele attempt to flee. Adele backs out, and Paul stays to protect her. Amaia and Manuel run into the woods, where Manuel is taken by a masked figure known as "The Crow".
