The story follows Diégane Latyr Faye, a young Senegalese writer living in Paris. His life is upended when he discovers a legendary, long-lost book from 1938 titled The Labyrinth of Inhumanity . Its author, T.C. Elimane, was once hailed by French critics as the "Black Rimbaud" before being accused of plagiarism and disappearing into the shadows of history.
