In this installment, the time-traveling group—comprised of the Doctor, Susan, and their kidnapped teachers Ian and Barbara—attempts to escape a Paleolithic tribe. After being freed from the Cave of Skulls by a tribal elder who fears the power of fire, the group flees into a dangerous forest.
